I am always on the go and when I say always, I mean ALWAYS. Whether I am rushing to get my daughter off to school, to a Soul Cycle class for 45 minutes of “me time” or to the office -I am always on the go! Because of my busy lifestyle, I wanted a quick easy smoothie recipe that I could enjoy at least 4 to 5 days a week with items I would typically have in my kitchen. It needed to be something I could just throw into my Ninja Blender and be done in 30 seconds. I have never been the biggest fan of fruit smoothies so I was desperately trying to find something that would satisfy my sweet tooth, as well as something I could have for breakfast or on the go.
I began testing recipes for a smoothie but it would always call for different fruits and never found one I was in love with, until I created the almond butter banana smoothie. I love to snack on bananas with a spoonful of almond butter for a mid-morning or midday snack, so I figured why not make it into a smoothie? It’s now my daily ritual that is both quick and easy and haven’t tired out.
