A smoothie bowl is a thicker smoothie that you cover with all of the delicious toppings your heart desires and eat with a spoon, just like granola with yogurt. This smoothie is packed-full of antioxidant-rich berries, dark leafy greens, banana and dates for sweetness, and almond milk for protein. We’re topping it with even more berries and sliced banana, as well as raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, and chia seeds for some crunch and heart-healthy fats. It tastes just like a creamy and sweet berry ice-cream with none of the sugar and guilt that comes after eating one too many scoops.
Ingredients: Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup frozen blackberries
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 2 dates, pitted
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Ingredients: Toppings
- 1 tablespoon raw almonds, roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon raw almonds, roughly chopped
- 2 teaspoons chia seeds
- a handful of fresh blackberries
- a handful of fresh blueberries
- a few banana slices
Directions
- Add all smoothie ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and layer on all of the toppings. Enjoy!
